David A. Smeltzer, DDS, MS

Dr. Smeltzer is originally from Northwest Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Dentisty (D.D.S.,1995). Dr. Smeltzer continued his postgraduate training at The Ohio State University, completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and earning his masters degree. In 2001, Dr. Smeltzer became a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Since 1999, Dr. Smeltzer has maintained a full scope oral and facial surgery practice in central Ohio. In addition to his private practice, he also holds an assistant clinical professorship with The Ohio State University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he teaches future oral surgeons.
Dr. Smeltzer is currently on staff at a number of central Ohio hospitals and is one of only a handful of oral and facial surgeons who maintains privileges and actively treats patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is involved in managing all aspects of oral and facial surgery with a special interest in dental implant surgery and surgery for the pediatric and adolescent population.
